As an intern, you will learn the general functions of the promotions sector of a radio station. We are looking for bilingual students who are interested in a learning opportunity; where they can extend Radio Broadcasting education beyond the classroom while gaining valuable experience in the industry.

As an intern, you will also be able to learn the different aspects and logistics of radio, and how everything comes together. You will have the opportunity to work with other departments within the station such as Programming and Sales.

And best of all, as an intern, you will have fun working 95.1FM events, concerts, club nights, appearances and meet & greets.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Needs to be registered at a university, college, community college or vocational-technical institute on a full-time basis.
• Applicant needs to be in good academic standing.
• Organized, able to meet deadlines and be a self-starter. Proven ability to be precise and accurate
• The internship will cover a quarter/semester period of approximately twenty (20) hours per week, with a schedule to be arranged by the intern, and the intern coordinator.
• Proven ability to handle stress.
• Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Maintain a positive and cooperative rapport with staff, management, and clients.
• Project an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
• Final discretion as to assignments while participating in the internship program will remain with KVIB-FM.
• Persons participating in the KVIB-FM Radio internship needs to understand that no guarantees are given for future employment. KVIB-FM may terminate internship at any time.
• Final selection of a KVIB-FM intern from among those expressing interest rests with KVIB-FM.
• Must sign and abide by the Internship Agreement.
• Qualified candidates must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
